This article was from the Metro Mail UK September 8 2010 the photo is an illustration to the validity that it has already been published by the Metro Mail. The article said "Brian Fowers weighs 30st (190kg) the article says he was made redundant due to his employer feeling he would crush fellow workers whilst doing his job. He has been awarded some form of pay-out and now is looking towards the NHS for enhanced rate of benefits of thousands of pounds in medical bills.

But from a later reply Victoria,London,W1in the article states "he left his place of work voluntarily". His employer and Brian Fowers identified he had a weight problem which prevented him from undertaking various tasks. This should have been something which should have been taken up whilst he was in employment with his employer and the matter about his weight – if his weight is so serious and interfering with his work the NHS has a responsibility to help him to achieve bringing his weight down.

Getting back to Mr Fowers plight in that he feels he is entitled to enhanced benefits maybe he is he said "he has paid his taxes".

Mr Brown the previous Priminister said "the NHS is a World Class Service". who for? if the tax payer cannot use it during his/her working age why should we have such a monstrosity.

My Opinion (Recommendation)
The NHS is not for show and certainly not a service just "to be seen to be doing"  just to create jobs and careers it is a public service relationship and not paid for just by tax payer contributions their are many other tax paying bodies corporate tax, inheritance tax, fuel tax and all these lots of taxes which the nation as a whole prop up these public services. This tax paying nation also contributes to NHS budgets for training and careers and jobs – picking up the bill for sophisticated equipment and all running costs and overheads.       Taking all this in to consideration these services are not just for show "just seeing to be doing" keeping staff and people in jobs and a comfortable roof over their heads whilst they are at work this is a service also meant for individuals and the public  he/she has paid in to and because the tax payer comes down to an individual person when wishing to use these services people like yourselves put your blinkers on and pick on him/her.

Should there be any doubt in Mr Fower’s medical arrangements with his employer then it is for the authorities to make that investigation.
